They are still mad about the name of the site. It is not enough to take down the videos, no, they want the site as well. Below is a screen shot of the message that was sent yesterday to our webmaster. So, we sent the following message to the “law firm” that is representing Martha and Church of the Living God International. Are there any lawyers in the house?

The videos have been removed from the site and the name has been changed. This should conclude the issues you and your client have with our site. However, it has come to our attention your law firm is not the legal firm that represents Church of the Living God International . The firm that speaks for the church is Bricker and Eckler located in Columbus, Ohio. Furthermore, we are under the impression that Joseph White not Martha Edwards speaks for Church of the Living God International . We suspect this may be a case of fraud and someone is misrepresenting Church of the Living God International and Mrs. Edwards in an attempt to intimidate and terrorize the former member of Church of the Living God International . This is being viewed as harassment by former members. We are respectfully requesting that you cease harassing and attempting to terrorize us. We have made the changes and will respect the rights of Church of the Living God International . We now ask you to respect our right to free speech.

I mean really they have nothing better to do than to harass former members who have been victimize enough. Well we here at CLGWI Victims will continue to fight for our right to free speech. It is only slander and libel if it is untrue. The statements made here are not untrue. As we asked before, are there any lawyers in the house?
Keep up the good fight! This site is probably hitting them where it hurts which is their wallets. We are exposing the truth of this evil organization and preventing others from falling into this web of deceit and lies. Many of us would have been spared from this hurt and abuse if someone would have created a website like this back in 1994. They can’t hide from the truth now. They can’t even give you a proper notice without having to bend and twist their words to justify their actions. The entire history of Church of the Living God International is convoluted, mixed in with lies, manipulation, abuse and trickery.
Admin, if they’re so concerned about trademark infringement then maybe we should consider taking down the logo that’s on the upper left side of the homepage (the small square one with the wolf with the “clgivictims.org”). Or just remove “clgivictims” from the logo. Personally, I highly doubt that’s a TM violation but I can see where they could possibly use that against us. I say it might be the best thing to do at this point to avoid our site being shut down. Of course, this is all subject to whatever attorney you may have already spoken to on this matter.
However, I’m still concerned about the authencity of the letter from the law firm. Did you ever call them personally to verify that they actually wrote that letter? I’m having difficulty believing that letter came from them. I’m really concerned that that Georgia law firm is not authorized nor licensed to represent Church of the Living God International since they already have a law firm based out of Ohio.
As to your response to the law firm, I think it would have been better to ask the attorneys where on the website has the TM infringements taken place? They can’t simply alleged something without specifics. The USPTO website provides some good guidance on how to respond to TM infringements letters as well as what trademarks are:
