Really CLGI

So, here I am minding my own business moving on and pursuing new ventures and opportunities and who do I hear from this morning, Martha Edwards lawyer. Why, apparently, someone has created a YouTube site with the name of my website or some foolish mess. The channel contains videos of their foolishness. I am astonished to be honest.

I am not the creator of any YouTube channel or responsible for putting any videos up. I wish I was though. Then I can explain to them the principle of fair use and sucks sites. Cause that is what CLGI Victims is, it is a sucks site. It is a site where people who have been abused and hurt by CLGI go and tell their stories.

Martha, why are you worried about me and my little site. You could have called me anytime and spoken with me. You and the board could have talked to me a long time ago as the Bible said we are supposed to. Instead, you hide behind your lawyer. You saw me in person and instead of speaking to me about this matter you tired to intimidate me with your evil looks. It did not work. I am no longer a 20 something young adult seeking a craving anyone’s approval. I am no longer a damaged, insecure, and scared young woman afraid of what is behind the curtain. I am a confident grown woman of 44 who is willing to meet you and the board to resolve this matter.

I will even do you one better, when you all have your next board meeting, I will fly to you on my own dime, sit down with you and discuss whatever issues you all have with my site and how we can come to a resolution and end this matter.

It is funny, I have gone on to do other things. I am laying the ground work for bigger and better ventures and you are still stuck in the same sad cycle. You are old, and only God knows how many more days you have left. Shouldn’t you be spending those last days with your family. Shouldn’t you be surrounded by your children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and proclaiming the glory of the Lord to your prosperous church membership.

Look in the end, I want peace. So once again, I am offering an olive branch of peace. This whole thing can be solved with a simple face to face meeting between the board and myself. Sadly, I was actually thinking of taking the site down this year but every time your lawyer contacts me, I renew it for yet another year because it shows me you all have not changed one bit and I must warn people to stay away. I don’t hate y’all, I actually feel sorry for y’all but I feel sorriest for you most of all Martha Edwards and you know why.

Still Scratching My Head by Shannise Johnson Waters

So, I gave an invitation to Martha Edwards and anyone else who dared to talk to me in a few weeks while they are in Kansas City for the Jurisdictional meeting. I am more than willing to resolve this issue outside of the courts. I called into question her salvation and her faith in God and his word. What do I get for my efforts to resolve this issue according to the Bible, an email from her lawyer stating that my asking for a peaceful resolution to this issue has resulted in them pursuing legal actions against me in the state of Missouri.

I asked how did I make the issue worse. Any judge would welcome people trying to resolved their issues outside of court. Especially church people. How is it that we are to judge the world but we cannot solve the issues among ourselves? What I tried to do and what I said is not my words but they are the Bible. The very thing we are to govern our lives by. So you want to take me to court. Okay, do what you feel is right Martha Edwards. This does not shine a bright light on CLGI or you for this fact. As I and many others have said, some folks in CLGI are bullies. I have done everything you have asked for. However, it too me too long to regain my power and my strength after many years of you and your sister trying to stomp it out of me. I am still standing, not as strong as I would like to be but I am trying to recover from your abuse.

If needed I will defend myself in court and bring forth witness who will attest to your assignation of my character. I have the recording from our last meeting in the organization where across the pulpit you said some horrible things about me. I have the video of you threating death to all who oppose you. You have harassed and threatened me for years. You attempted to destroy my marriage, you told lies with regards to my relationship with my sons father and said horrible things about my sons. You even attempted to cause a divide between my oldest son and his parents. You don’t think he told us what you said to him. You did some dirty stuff Mrs. Edwards. All I and many others have done is tell the truth about you and CLGI.

You attempted to cause me mental anguish knowing the mental issues I have, you still harass and threaten me. You still attempt to silence and intimidate me. I won’t talk about the nightmares I still have about you and CLGI. The anxiety that you and your church caused. Even though I go through all this, I still fight you. I won’t allow you to hurt anyone else, you or CLGI. I won’t be a CLGI Victim anymore. Even if I never sleep again, I won’t allow you to silence me.

Considering all the torment it would cause me, I am still willing to meet you face to face to solve this issue. Why are you afraid to meet me face to face so we can resolve this issue like people of God? I am here calling for peace and you still demand war.

Things That Make You Say Really by Shannise Johnson Waters

I had some time last week to sit and think and really ponder the situation with Martha Edwards and her request that I change the domain name of the website. Which I did. I received an email from her lawyer still complaining that www.clgivictims.org is still a valid website even though it simply provides an avenue to get to the new site. They want us buried and hidden in the dark recesses of the web. That won’t happen. Anytime CLGI or their names are goggled, the site no matter what it is named will pop up.

In more things that made me say really, Martha Edwards was in Missouri in April and saw me face to face and chose not to say anything to me. She has know for quite some time I was the person behind the website. Mary Butler was in Missouri as well. She could have talked to me about the site and the name. I would have entertained the conversation and possibly saved her some money in lawyer fees. I would have talked to her because that is what the Bible says I should do. In civil matters, we are not to go to the law against one another. We are to work those things out and if we can’t, the injured party is supposed to suffer the loss and let the Lord deal with it. So, what does Martha Edwards have no faith in God? Does she not know the scripture? Better yet, was she afraid to talk to me in person while in my presence?

Lastly, things that make me say really is a big one. Why would you go to the lawyers about a website but not about the widely known sexual abuse and harassment that goes on in CLGI. Why not take those pastors and members you claim are stealing the money to the law? Those are actual crimes punishable by law. No, that stuff y’all like to sweep under the rug and tell everyone to pray for the abuser and the victim. It is funny y’all strain at a gnat but can swallow a beam whole. Very interesting…

At any rate, she will have another opportunity to meet me face to face. She will be in Kansas City Labor Day weekend. I will be more than happy to sit down and talk with her and her sister and who ever else she want to bring to the conversation. I am sure she has questions just as I do. I am sure this issue can come to a peaceful resolution. I know, I know, they do their toughest talk behind the pulpit. Well, I am willing to come to the table if you are. Let’s talk this whole thing out. Mrs. Edwards, the ball is in your court.

As Much As Things Change They Stay the Same by Shannise Johnson Waters

So, it has been one year to the day since I last made a post to this site. I figured, I would just let this thing go and continue to move on with my life journey. I decided, I would continue to heal from the hurt that was cause to me by CLGI and some of its leadership. However, Martha Edwards just won’t let me alone. Oh, by the way, if you have not figured it out, I am the administrator for this site. I am not the author for all of its stories, but I am the one who financed the site and provided a space for people to tell their stories and warn others to stay clear of CLGI.

Why did you do it in secret? Well if you saw Martha Edwards saying that people who mess with her die what would you do. Besides, I did not want to be harassed by the CLGI machine. Some of the members are docile and just love the Lord. I was not worried about them, I was concerned about the people who carry guns to church meetings and are ready to fight at the drop of a hat if you say anything about their beloved CLGI.

Why put myself in that position? Why create the website and post people’s stories if it would cause this much trouble? Simple, these people had been silenced for long enough. It was time for them to begin to heal. It was time for someone to say, “hey, I believe you.” People found a place of refuge here. That is why I created the website.

So now, I am being slapped with libel and slander charges. It is not libel and slander if it is true. Nothing else needs to be said here. Libel and slander stem from untrue statements, nothing said here was untrue about CLGI or its leadership.

Lastly, if CLGI was so great, why are they bothering me and my little site that has not posted anything for a year. Why are they so dead set on intimidating me? As they lawyer said in the letter, “You have been outed, your cover no longer exist, and now identified Church of the Living God International will be pursuing all legal remedies available against you personally.”

Now I have no other option but to defend myself and my family against the bully that won’t stop. I have thought about taking down the site or letting the domain expire and each time I do, I receive feedback from someone thanking me for this site because it kept them from joining this organization and making a big mistake.

CLGI is still wrong and I am still standing. No 30 day curse is dragging me down.

Pastor and Wife Jailed for Rape

I was sent an absolutely horrible story. A pastor raped children for over 20 years in a bogus religious ceremony and his wife helped him. This man abused his position and took advantage of innocent children and his wife helped him. Many of the young girls became pregnant and his wife helped to arrange the abortions. I will say this before I close, considering how much time Joseph White spent alone with men of all ages, I wonder if any religious cleansing ceremonies ever took place? Just makes you wonder. I wonder how many other leaders in the Church of the Living God International have done such things, not just the men but the women also.

Still Fighting and Still Here

We refuse to go quietly into that dark night. Not sure why after over 2 years someone now want to make a fuss about our site. It must really be hurting their only bottom line, money. Hopefully, the most recent changes will suffice and we will be allowed to stay up and running. Stay tuned. They care nothing for their trademark, if they did, they would have removed Joseph White and the rest of the BOD. This is just an attempt to intimidate and irritate. Neither tactic is working. We are committed to do what it takes to warn innocent people looking for a church home that Church of the Living God International is not the place for you.

They Just Don’t Stop

They are still mad about the name of the site. It is not enough to take down the videos, no, they want the site as well. Below is a screen shot of the message that was sent yesterday to our webmaster. So, we sent the following message to the “law firm” that is representing Martha and Church of the Living God International. Are there any lawyers in the house?

Good Morning,

The videos have been removed from the site and the name has been changed. This should conclude the issues you and your client have with our site. However, it has come to our attention your law firm is not the legal firm that represents Church of the Living God International . The firm that speaks for the church is Bricker and Eckler located in Columbus, Ohio. Furthermore, we are under the impression that Joseph White not Martha Edwards speaks for Church of the Living God International . We suspect this may be a case of fraud and someone is misrepresenting Church of the Living God International and Mrs. Edwards in an attempt to intimidate and terrorize the former member of Church of the Living God International . This is being viewed as harassment by former members. We are respectfully requesting that you cease harassing and attempting to terrorize us. We have made the changes and will respect the rights of Church of the Living God International . We now ask you to respect our right to free speech.

I mean really they have nothing better to do than to harass former members who have been victimize enough. Well we here at CLGWI Victims will continue to fight for our right to free speech. It is only slander and libel if it is untrue. The statements made here are not untrue. As we asked before, are there any lawyers in the house?

Take Down Notice

Below is a notice we received from Martha Edwards lawyers regrading taking down the site. I really do dislike how the site was misrepresented. Please pay close attention to how the wording in our About Us was changed to state we are a group of disgruntled former member who left in shame. That is not what our site says. We are not disgruntled. We did not leave Church of the Living God International in shame. If we left Church of the Living God International I in shame, the shame was a direct result the lies, deceit, and abuse suffered by the leadership and some members of Church of the Living God International . We have not lied or slandered the name of Church of the Living God International . However, the leadership of Church of the Living God International has slandered and outright murdered the character and reputations of many. This site only gives a place for the victims of such outrageous and egregious assaults by Church of the Living God International a place to warn others to steer clear of this dangerous organization. I, nor anyone else here wants anyone to suffer the abuse we endured while apart of this cult masking itself as a church.

We’re Still Here!

By the grace of God, CLGWI Victims still stands. We had to make a few changes to the site. We had to remove the clips from the services where they pronounced curses on those who left, where they threatened to take churches, where they threatened to take people’s money, and of course the one where Joseph White claimed he was above the law. The video clips are gone but the stories of abuse still remain. That is the most important thing. Those stories need to stand. They need to be a warning for all those that seek a church home to beware of Church of the Living God International . Church of the Living God International is not a safe haven to the lost and weary soul. It is a den of thieves, a house of wolves in sheep’s clothing. To the one with a broken heart and a weary soul, Church of the Living God International is not the place of rest of and refuge you seek. Continue to search. God yet still has a place of rest for you and any church in Church of the Living God International is not that place of rest.

Be strong! Be brave! Be courageous!
